Patricia Ceballos, M.D.
Board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs Micrographic Surgery

For Dr. Patricia Ceballos, dermatology is more than treating what can be seen on the surface. It is understanding skin disease from the patient examination to the microscopic diagnosis and, when needed, through advanced surgical treatment.

That unique perspective has shaped an extraordinary career spanning medical dermatology, dermatopathology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and cosmetic and procedural dermatology.

Dr. Ceballos is board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, where she also completed her dermatology residency following an internal medicine internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She later completed advanced fellowship training in dermatopathology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Her career has blended patient care, microscopic diagnosis, surgery, research, and medical education. Dr. Ceballos previously served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at New York University Medical Center and as a Clinical Instructor and Dermatology Clinic Attending Physician at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Throughout her academic and clinical career, Dr. Ceballos has lectured at Harvard Medical School, NYU, Cornell University Medical Center, and national dermatology and dermatopathology meetings. Her research and scholarly work have appeared in respected medical publications, including The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, and The Journal of Investigative Dermatology. She has also been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.

What distinguishes Dr. Ceballos’ approach to dermatology is the breadth of expertise she brings to each patient. Her training allows her to evaluate complex skin conditions clinically, understand disease at the microscopic level, and provide advanced surgical care when appropriate. Her professional interests include medical and surgical dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatopathology, pediatric dermatology, and cosmetic and procedural dermatology.

Dr. Ceballos believes it is a privilege to care for patients and values the relationships built through thoughtful, comprehensive, and individualized dermatologic care.

Fluent in Spanish and French, Dr. Ceballos also has a lifelong interest in languages and global cultures. Outside of medicine, she enjoys swimming, hiking, paddle surfing, literature, and travel.

Dr. Ceballos is proud to bring her experience and passion for dermatology to Wolverine Dermatology and looks forward to caring for patients and families throughout West Michigan.
